well thank fuck for that . his last couple of years have not been great ,hampered by injuries and the pace of the game have over taken him . now with that said he has been a geat player for the club . a few years back now matt was the barometer for the dockers , when he was up we usually went well . tough ,good over head and a reasonable kick(better than shaun) he played some great footy for the club and even in the last few years when he copped alot of flak he was doing and alot of tagging and playing a selfless role which went un noticed alot of the time .who can forget some of his uncomprimising play in the derbies .
so finally matt i would like to apologise for hanging shit and abuse on you these last few years and wish you all the best , you can walk away from footy with your head held high champ ,a player that got the most out of his ability and didn't strut around with a ego like alot of these pricks these days , farewell mathew and go well my son
